Anti-fungal drug can also block angiogenesis

...It turns out that itraconazole can block the same enzyme in blood vessels, but the researchers aren't sure if that's the reason blood vessels stop growing, because related antifungal drugs had much lower inhibitory effect.

"Our screening test did show that "Itraconazole can be taken orally for fungal infection, and therefore oral delivery may work for angiogenesis as well," Liu notes.Copyright Dailyindia.com/ANI Breaking News Uttar Pradesh is an example of Gundaraj: Rahul GandhiKolkata NGO enabling physically disabled kids to learn and riseEnjoy river rafting in Kashmir this summerOrissa sand artist pays tribute to Australia, the 2007 world cup winners Copyright © 2004-2007 DailyIndia.com Feedback Privacy ...

Huntsville Hospital stresses health education

... "We provide the full range of services for our seniors," Ingram says.

"We think we've got the best lineup of screenings in recent years." The various Huntsville Hospital booths will also have information on cardiac health, bone health, cancer and digestive health.

"We're going to talk more about preventive healthcare and have information that will help seniors take better care of themselves," Ingram says.

Nurses and leadership from different hospital departments will be available for questions.

Ingram stresses the necessity of educating people about healthy living and ways to take care of themselves.

This is particularly important to seniors, who often have conditions like diabetes which require special care.

"We want to provide access for people to learn more about the healthcare options available to them," Ingram says.

He says the Senior Expo is a great way to get information on those healthcare options to a greater majority of area seniors.

"It's a great event and we're looking forward to it," he says.
