Area seniors receive screenings at Metroplex

...For a one time membership fee of $5, seniors enjoy free annual health screening, a complimentary gift for each overnight stay at the hospital, and a free meal card per visit for an inpatient procedure.

Currently, Metroplex has more than 570 seniors enrolled in the program."It's an excellent program with many health benefits that you'll find yourself using over and over," said Kristi Allison, wellness coordinator for Metroplex Hospital.Metroplex hosts a variety of health fairs throughout the year that targets specific needs like KidFest and the Diabetes Health Fair, which will be held in the fall.Their next planned health project is the Lampasas Health Fair on June 7 at at the Lampasas Middle School in Lampasas.
